Friday Night Food Market - 16th Feb

Back by popular demand, the Friday Food Market at Wairakei Resort.

Immerse yourself in the taste of Mexico, Spain, Asian Fusion, Kiwiana and delicious deserts while enjoying the live cooking and music playing in a peaceful garden setting under the sun and stars.

Only running for a limited time over summer, so come along this Friday and don't miss out.

Traffic Management Great Lake Relay - 17th Feb

Grab your friends, family or work colleagues together and join this amazing running or walking event around or along the length of Lake Taupo.

Don’t miss being part of this awesome run/walk relay around the stunning Lake Taupo with 3500 other competitors! Renown as being the best team building exercise of all time, the ultimate Team Relay has been described by participants as the most social and scenic event in New Zealand.

The Traffic Management NZ Great Lake Relay covers the 155km around Lake Taupo. Each team consists of 8 to 18 members, either running or walking the entire distance around Lake Taupo.

The Length of the Lake Relay caters for teams of five to eight who can run or walk to complete the eight legs, 67km from Pukawa on the southern end of the lake back to Taupo. New for 2017 is a 2 person team option for this event.

 

Across The Lake Swim - 24th Feb

This iconic open water swimming event caters for a wide range of swimming abilities and is a fun, friendly swim. After the swim enjoy a well-deserved after event soup & bun, and enjoy the feeling of having achieved the Across the Lake Swim.

The Lake Taupo Across the Lake Swim starts at Acacia Bay and finishes across the lake 4.2km at Three Mile Bay. There is also a 2km and 1km event which starts and finishes at Three Mile Bay. The event provides those competing in the Ironman the opportunity to have a training run and is New Zealand's largest freshwater challenge.

 

Ironman 70.3 Taupo - 3rd March

A 1.9km swim in the pristine freshwater Lake Taupō, a 90km bike course rolls through New Zealand’s renowned rural landscape and a 21.1km run takes in the picturesque lake lined with spectator and local support. Makes Taupō the perfect place for a taste of Ironman glory.
