NZ Drift School Taupo Edition - 10th June

The NZ Drift School is back at Taupo!

NZ Drift School heads to the Bruce McLaren Motorsport Park on the 10th of June 2016. Limited spots available so get in quick!

NZ Drift School provides a safe and pressure free environment with skilled tutors to help you every step of the way!

Tuition cars will be provided with all expenses covered. Full safety gear is provided and you will be accomponied by a trained instructor throughout your experience.

We offer the following three courses, with prices starting from just $350.

The Big Bike Film Night - 11th June

This, the 2nd Big Bike Film Night, sees us get bigger, better and more entertaining and returning to Taupo to be part of the Craters Classic 2016.

What’s the Big Bike Film Night all about? Sharing the best cycling short films from around the world with you, our audience.

It will showcase a collection of short movies that have everything a bike centric audience could want- action, drama, plenty of humour and even a hint of romance, making you want to fall in love with your bike all over again.

So make Saturday big! Unless you are on your bike, there are few better places to be in Taupo.

Screening starts at 7:30pm
Venue: Wairakei Resort, Taupo

It's going to be a great night of films celebrating cycling, hope we can see you there.

 

Craters Classic - 12th June

Craters Classic, one of Taupo’s favourite mountain bike event set in acclaimed Craters of the Moon mountain bike park just five minutes’ drive from the Taupo CBD.

There are three distances on offer ranging from the family friendly 10km, 25km and the feature of the event, the 40km course all set on the most amazing single track in Taupo The Craters Classic is owned by Taupo MTB club and managed by Nduro Events.

The objective of the event is to act as a fundraising event for the Taupo MTB club . The event is also part of the clubs vision to promote, facilitate, encourage and develop Mountain Biking in the Taupo region.



NZ Mountain Film Festival 'Best of the Fest' Tour - 22nd June

The 'Best of the Fest' tour offers an outstanding collection of unique adventure films from around the world featuring Kiwis and other adventurers push their limits and challenge natures playgrounds.

The screening will be at 7.45m, Friday 22nd July at Starlight Cinema, and will run for just over 2 1/4 hours.

There will be limited door sales on the night. Tickets $20.

Some of the feature films include:

- 55 Hours in Mexico, 9 minutes, USA: How adventurous can one get in a single weekend and 55 hours away from home?

- Locked in: First descent of the Beriman Gorge, 53 minutes, Austria Grand Prize Winner
Four kayakers travel to Papua New Guinea to conquer whitewater that no kayaker have tried before: The Beriaman River Gorge, one of the most dangerous and committing expeditions undertaken in a kajak.

- The Rocky Mountain Traverse, 25 minutes, Canada: A 35 day journey across rugged landscapes which is the longest air journey by a a paraglider ever recorded.

- Paddle for the North, 55 minutes, NZ: Deep in the Canadian North, six young guys embarked on an epic adventure- to explore some of the most remote and untouched rivers in the world. On a 63 day mission it is a mighty test of endurance, determination and friendship.
